Preach It Moses!

James Jordan says that most of Deuteronomy, which he likes to refer to as "Old Gold" :-), is Moses' expositional sermon on the 10 commandments. Sometimes the links seem a little tenuous to our modern ears, but am beginning to see where he is coming from. I can't remember the exact divisions he makes, but it goes something like this:

6-11:
Exposition of You shall have no other gods before me

12-13:
Exposition of You shall make no other image

14:1-21
Exposition of You shall not wear my Name in vanity

14:22-16:17
Exposition of Keep the Sabbath holy

16:18-end of 19
Exposition of Honour your Father and Mother


20-22:12 
Exposition of You shall not murder


22:13-end
Exposition of You shall not commit adultery


23-24 
Exposition of You shall not steal 


25 
Exposition of You shall not bear false witness


26 
Exposition of You shall not covet
